Meet The Team – Shanna-Kay

Meet Shanna-Kay. She is one of our new pool assistants that joined the team in 2023. She has been a massive help to the team and has meant, jointly with Rebecca that Likkle Swimmers is a much safer, friendlier and more organised program.

Shanna-Kay is a very friendly, hard working and thoughtful team member who always has new ideas and ways to help Likkle Swimmers.

‘This was my very first summer working with Likkle Swimmers, and it was an amazing experience. I was able to meet many different parents and children who are amazing.  of them were very respectful and understanding. There were a few who were very kind as well. Likkle Swimmers gave me such a great experience in a friendly, safe, and happy environment for everyone.

My job was fairly manageable at the pool side as most children and parents would follow the instructions given and rules. My most busy and difficult time was on the assessment days, as there are many work to be done, but I did well, and all worked out amazing.

My daughter also swam with likkle swimmers, and the program helped her to get over her fear from water, and now being at the beach or at the pool is her favourite thing to do.

Likkle swimmers is a very beneficial program for our community, as we live near the sea, and it is important for everyone to be able to swim and know life-saving skills to help each other.‘
